Trainee exchange with our customer WEPA
Together with the customer WEPA, an apprentice exchange program was organized, giving trainees valuable insights into each company’s workflows and value chains.
The first visit took the J. MÜLLER Weser apprentices to WEPA’s production site in Müschede, North Rhine-Westphalia. There, they gained fascinating insights into the production of hygiene products such as toilet paper, tissues, and folded paper towels. Particularly interesting was the connection to their own work at the Port of Brake, where the pulp required for production is handled and transshipped. The program was complemented by a workshop and a guided tour of the production facilities.
During the return visit to Brake, the focus shifted to port and logistics operations. In addition to a company presentation, the guests were given insights into the control room, silo facilities, and overall port operations. A special highlight was the visit to the North Pier, where they were able to observe the unloading of a pulp vessel at close range.
The exchange provided valuable insights into the processes of both companies and strengthened cooperation along the shared supply chain between J. MÜLLER Weser and WEPA.
