New bulk handling equipment for the grain handling facility in Bremen:

J. MÜLLER, the specialised port service provider on the Lower Weser river, has further expanded its grain handling facility in Bremen with the installation of a state-of-the-art bulk handling equipment. With the Mantsinen 160 ES HybriLift, one of the most advanced material handling machines on the market, the company is sending a clear signal when it comes to efficiency, sustainability and the long-term strengthening of the location in Bremen. The equipment is mounted on a specially developed portal and can handle more than 500 tonnes of bulk material per hour. The total investment amounts to 3.3 million euros.

With its continuous investments not only at the location in Brake, but also at the J. MÜLLER terminals in Bremen, the company group emphasises its trust in the location advantages of the Lower Weser region and strengthens the long-term sustainability of the ports in Bremen.

The new Mantsinen 160 ES HybriLift sets new standards in efficiency and sustainability: Equipped with the innovative HybriLift® system, the machine stores the energy released when the boom is lowered and reuses it, increasing energy efficiency by up to 35 per cent. A specially developed dust-reduction technology also ensures environmentally friendly operation and strengthens the location's contribution to sustainable logistics.

Cedric Witten, Head of Technology/IT at J. MÜLLER Weser GmbH & Co. KG, explains: "By investing in the Mantsinen 160, we are sending a clear signal regarding the future viability and sustainability of our port logistics at the grain handling facility in Bremen." The new material-handling excavator enables us to process large quantities of bulk materials faster and more safely. This is an important step in the modernisation of our facilities and will strengthen our long-term competitiveness."

Jan Müller, CEO of J. MÜLLER AG, adds: ‘’With our investments in the grain handling facility and at our terminals in the timber and factory port, we clearly affirm our commitment to the Seaport location Bremen. The new Mantsinen handling device improves the efficiency and safety of our processes, strengthens our logistical capacities and enables us to meet the increasing demands of our customers even more effectively. Furthermore, the investment has led to noticeable direct reductions in dust and noise emissions."

State Council Kai Stührenberg, who gave the welcoming address at the official opening of the new handling device, praised J. MÜLLER's move: "The decision to invest in state-of-the-art technology and equipment is a strong commitment to the port of Bremen. In doing so, J. MÜLLER not only contributes to the economic strength of our region, but also to innovation and sustainability in logistics. Investments like these are essential to maintaining Bremen's position as a strong port location in Germany."
