Trainee project ‘Lebenswelten J. MÜLLER’
The cameras are off, the editing is done – the short films from our training project “Lebenswelten J. MÜLLER” are in the can! The result: moving and authentic short films in which employees from various cultural and national backgrounds share their personal stories.

Lebenswelten Wesermarsch - Gvantsa Lukhava
What makes this special: the films were conceived, shot, and produced by our apprentices under the professional guidance of the Lebenswelten Wesermarsch project. In the process, our young talents not only enhanced their technical skills in film production, but also gained valuable experience in team building, communication, and intercultural collaboration.
“We’re proud that this project not only promotes integration within our company but also strengthens the commitment and creativity of our apprentices,” says Antje Streicher, Head of Human Resources at J. MÜLLER. The films will be showcased at internal and public events as well as through our social media channels, highlighting the diversity within our company.
Highlight: First Prize Awarded
Back in November, the project already generated excitement: during the awards ceremony hosted by the Nordwest Mediengruppe, keynote speaker Stephanie von Unruh praised, “Here, training and humanity go hand in hand.” The concept impressed the jury with its integrative approach, its courage to embrace openness, and its strong sense of teamwork – and was awarded first prize.
Apprentices as Storytellers – Intensive Preparation Included
Before filming began, the apprentices participated in a multi-day workshop. In addition to film techniques and interview training, topics included social media use, fake news, and artificial intelligence. Together with the team from Lebenswelten Wesermarsch, they developed a professional film concept.
One of the most impactful stories comes from Gvantsa Lukhava, an apprentice at J. MÜLLER. Born in Abkhazia (Georgia) in 2005, she has been living in Brake since May 2023. Her personal story is deeply moving: “I wanted to show that you must not give up, even in the hardest times. This project touches me deeply and creates understanding and connection,” she says.
Though filming has wrapped, the project is far from over. The resulting films are the starting point for further initiatives: they will be presented at both external and internal events, such as the next staff assembly, shared on social media channels, and featured at trade fairs – showcasing diversity, unity, and real-life integration at J. MÜLLER.
