Your Tasks:

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in all project phases. You will work with a modern, constantly evolving tech stack and focus on backend code quality.

Your specific tasks include:

Refactoring legacy code into clean code to optimize maintainability and automate testability
Assisting in the analysis and resolution of issues with the ERP software
Managing IT projects using Scrum in collaboration with key users and external service providers
Developing user stories for new requirements for the ERP software in conjunction with key users
Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for the ERP software ActFact
Creating documents required from ERP processes using JasperReports

Your Profile:

Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
Proficient in relational databases, ideally Oracle
Excellent knowledge of SQL
Strong proficiency in JAVA (OpenJDK 11)
Experienced with at least one IDE tool, such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA
Familiar with version control systems, particularly SVN (Subversion)
Experience with Maven
Experience creating reports with JasperReports
Experience in managing agile projects following the Scrum methodology
Familiarity with ticketing systems, ideally Jira Software and Jira Service Desk
Good understanding of ERP processes (Enterprise Resource Planning)
Strong analytical skills
Independent and responsible work ethic
Team-oriented and results-driven
Proficient in German (C1) and English (B2), both written and spoken
The role is based at our Brake office, where the agile team collaborates in-person two days a week to develop and refine future applications and customer interfaces. Remote work is possible on the other days.
